Molly Hueffed

Molly Hueffed is a Pacific Northwest Artist who discovered pottery while working as a molecular biologist. She took her first class after college and started doing pottery with every free moment she had, while she worked at University of Washington in the Pathology department. She quit her job to pursue pottery in 1996 and never looked back. She has been teaching for over sixteen years and is still excited every time she unloads a kiln. Her work has been displayed at The Whidbey Island Art Gallery, Art East Gallery in Issaquah, and she sells her work locally at Crow Valley Pottery, Capers. Seward Park Clay Studio Holiday Show and Art East in Issaquah, WA. Molly loves to paint and she uses her pottery as a canvas to explore color, mark making and texture. She is influenced by the design and stories of aboriginal art, and by her surroundings in the Pacific Northwest.
