Ellensburg artist Becky Parmenter is a teaching artist, education enthusiast, and optimist. She believes in the power of art education as a tool to study, enjoy, and appreciate the world around you. Her interests are pollinators, frogs, hummingbirds, honey bees, wax, and nests. She uses binoculars, loupes, and microscopes to get into the details and tries to replicate what she sees in nature into her work. Becky enjoys the tasks & observations it takes to complete her artworks. Repetition, patterns and nature are a favorite topic. Learning about and creating nests of all kinds is what Becky has been working on this past year.
